Consider this for a second…What would be the reactions from the Right have been if Obama had suggested using PUBLIC MONEY to ship Immigrant Detainees nationwide to “Sanctuary Cities” where they would be WELCOMED, given assistance in securing housing, jobs, AND Legal assistance to help process their LEGAL ASYLUM REQUESTS?? You would have heard the screams of outrage echoing from one end of the country to the other, punctuated by the sound of the heads EXPLODING at FAUX Noise!
BUT, since it’s Comrade-cadet Bonespurs-trumpski suggesting the EXACT SAME THING, even though it’s ILLEGAL, and it’s against the advice of his own advisors, suddenly it’s a GREAT IDEA, mostly because his low-intelligence, inbred, mouth-breathing minions somehow think that he’s “Sitckin’ it to them there librulz’ again, HAW HAW!!” The outright HYPOCRISY of the conservatives is just plain flat-out DISGUSTING!!!
Not to mention the guy in the toon would be really popular in San Francisco, especially in some of the bars on Folsom Street and in the Castro district. They LOVE guys in uniforms there…

I love how Trump sees relocating a group of hard-working, peaceful and law-abiding people to sanctuary cities as a form of revenge. Let’s send all the MAGA people to Mississippi.

It appears that Trumpo actually believes his own fevered rhetoric about Middle American migrants being rapacious killers, rapists, drug pushers, and laundry-stealers, and that they would wreak havoc on Sanctuary Cities. In reality, reports have it that S.C.‘s welcome immigrants, and certainly statistics clearly show that crime rates in S.C.’s are significantly lower than in non-Sanctuary Cities. Joke’s on Trumpo and his bone-headed “base”.
I’m pretty sure that some ICE cops are okay people, but if so they have lousy PR, cause they come across as jackbooted thugs with seriously emotional problems. I’d rather have 20 of the refugees as neighbors than half that number of ICE cops.
@Andylit: Why are we complaining? Not due to distaste for the new members of our population. We’re complaining because the National Disgrace in the Oval Office, and those who support him, intend to use these poor people as weapons. He hopes to disrupt city and state governments as a punishment for citizens daring to disagree with him. Trump doesn’t feel he has any responsibility to anyone … but he outright regards anybody who doesn’t worship him as an enemy to destroy.
So, he’s releasing them into the interior of the United States, where there’s nothing to keep them from traveling wherever they choose, and this is somehow supposed to prove how dangerous they are and how Trump is protecting us, did I get that right?

The question is, why are any of the folks on the left complaining about this. It is pretty what they claim to want.
If they make the effort to publicly declare their city to be a sanctuary, they are extending a welcoming hand. They should be happy about this.
