If you look, the people did not pick Trump, the Republican Party did. Through gerrymandering of selected states congressional districts the GOP managed to manipulate the Electoral College. Trump lost to Clinton by almost three million popular votes. As a matter of fact, counting all the popular votes, Trump lost by right at ten million votes. To be succinct, Donald Trump is not the problem, the recalcitrant modern Republican Party, the GOP, is a clear and present danger to this republic.
