When I still got the newspaper, I used to look at the engagement pictures,

and try to guess by their poses and expressions which ones would actually stay together.

Of course, you never find out the answer….

Any picture can be a fluke….

an unflattering shot, the sun in their eyes…

Maybe the couple was nervous, or the photographer wasn’t skillful.

But it’s just kinda funny when you see two couples that look like they’re really into each other….

and a third couple staring wistfully into space in different directions, as if neither realises the other is there.

Or someone gazing adoringly at a partner who the camera caught looking vaguely annoyed.

Couldn’t see the cost of them.

I kinda like the straddled on the large tree branch pose, it’s unique.
