Very interesting! That blank look on Wally’s face tells its own story. Now I’m wondering if Wally & the rest were found while they were traveling, drugged somehow, and brought to Eden Colony instead of them discovering the colony and joining it voluntarily.

I’m starting to believe this elephant did not end up where he is, because he’s too unqualified for anything else, but rather was moved there for simmiliar reasons Wally was. He seems to know how Eden works from personal experience and unlike Wally’s previous manager, has avoided informing anyone about the “superpower” the new guy possesses.Or maybe he’s just being solidary with the only other laundry guy in the entire colony…

Advice to Wally: do not ignore the elephant in the room.

Shades of the Matrix! How about this? They are already in a Topsider (or someone else’s) experiment, and it’s dittos trying to get them out. The only place they can get anyone is at the beach, though. Benny is alive and well.

I’ll say it one I’ll say it again. If someone, thing, or place, seems too nice, good, pleasant, ok and it also says so then dark shit is afoot. Time and time again those doing their best to show no danger or anything wrong so some the worst shit. question everyone and you’\ll be happy when you are wrong.

Eden will “Reassign” him a new family. I mean look what happened to Andy.

Hmmm, an invisible topsider, and a ton of critters with amnesia.

Or the whole colony is some kind of experiment by topsiders…

He may remember how he got there but he knows a prison or concentration camp when he sees one.

Yeah, they exile people.. from life…

That does add some questions – people never really questioned how they got there in the first place. Just that they were suddenly in a new colony. Fact is they could have been captured by topsiders and put there as some prison colony – which is why they are not allowed to burrow too far in, or be too productive.

It’s a research facility and they are all lab rats.

Merrily life is but a dream……

This has suddenly left me with a sinking feeling. One of my top fears is to get brainwashed.

Neathery has carved numerous hidey-holes for plot twists, but I think having this be a Topsider operation would violate the ‘Topsider code of Conduct’ on treatment of mutants; see one of the very first strips (https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2009/01/23 ) . With the exception of a few defectors, Topsiders, as the omnipresent predators of the strip, have demonstrated two unsophisticated responses to mutants to date: Extermination or Brain-harvesting. I predict a Topsider-free yet bizarre answer to Wally’s blank look; anyone give me odds on that wager?
