1-DT: I got called here off an important run to the Convenience. Something about a fashion felony (editor’s note: see late posting to yesterday’s comic if details are wanted). BARN: Thank god you’re here officer! Someone was wearing a replica of my one-of-a-kind sweater. I only pray you’re not too late to put six holes in that abomination. And the person wearing it if we’re lucky. DT: You telling me you took me off an important run because of that rag you’re wearing?2-BARN: WHY I NEVER! TAKE THAT YOU PHILISTINE!
Bar Tar may be quick in his reflexes, but he is not so quick-witted. He has in effect just confessed to being a serial killer, The Professor (a.k.a. Teacher’s Pet). He would have been smarter to accept Tracy’s invitation Downtown and, once there, deny everything: there is still little or no physical evidence (that we are aware of, at least); just a denunciation from a brother who is himself a bit dodgy, to say the least.
What will Bar Tar do now? My guess is that he will seize the moment of confusion to grab Bonnie and try to use her as a hostage to make good his escape. He will fail to escape for long.

Good morning™, guilty felons!
I think that constitutes a confession and he’s not going to go quietly!

The question is can he get past both of them without getting shot? That may be easier or harder depending on how he uses the conditions.

Where can Barnabus go? Crowded restaurant, Tracy right there, unless he takes a hostage. Does he have a weapon? Stay tuned fellow Tracy fans!

Pretty obvious who (whom?) the guilty one is!

Way to impress your date, Tar! Sheesh, this is why we can’t have nice things

For Tracy’s sake, I hope that yellow stuff is vichyssoise. Better cold soup than something scalding hot.

What a waste of good food!
Where does this sadistic moron think he can go even if he does get away?

I thought there’d be a lot more menacing of Tracy’s daughter before this.

Looks Like the old dine and dash trick. What’s in Tar’s wallet?

For those who complained about the “slow pace” of the story…
Regarding Joe… I agree that he is “off camera” and is armed…
Here’s an interesting twist… Bonnie may be carrying a revolver similar to Tess’ n her purse and draws it, shocking and frightening Barnabas…

It’s always dangerous to arrest a “cereal killer” at meal time.
