The plea agreement that wasn’t a plea agreement should have included an apology from Smollet to the black community, the gay community and the Chicago police force. Smollet should have also been asked to cover the full cost of the police investigation. That would have been a fair resolution.
This is absolutely ridiculous. To make it sound like the rich and famous avoiding justice is only a Chicago problem is beyond stupid. The rich and famous have a different justice system throughout the entire country. And I am not, in any way, defending Smollett or the decision made by the Chicago system.
I hope the Chicago cops are successful in extracting 150K from him. That was the real damage he caused. It is really galling that he now pretends he is completely innocent. The system is broken to let him get away with this.
Other than the Teapot-Dome scandal, Watergate, Iran-Contra, and the members of W’s and the resident’s administration that pleaded guilty to federal crimes, the Smollett issue looks bad?
While Ramirez revels in the ‘Smollett incident,’ he ignores the thousands of single mothers that our “justice system” has placed in prisons throughout our nation!
Ah, interesting how you took Trump’s red hat and replaced America with Chicago. Make America Corrupt Again and Make Chicago Corrupt Again. Yeah. It works.
And that redhat is the only reason conservatives like Ramirez even know about this case, let alone care that much. Had he accused a pair of generic skinheads, the reaction would’ve been “Jussie who?”

Smollett doesn’t even make the top ten list of criminal celebrities who avoid the justice they deserve. America has fatter fish to fry!

Trump Disciples like Ramirez actually believe the Trump administration is not corrupt.

You’ll notice that Trump Disciple commenters NEVER touch the subject of corruption.

Chicago has always been a cesspool; every now and then a bubble breaks the surface to let us know how bad it smells.

Is this supposed to distract us from the corruption, the ignorance, the failure that is Trump?

So this is how one avoids being dumped in the clink if one is a bleach male. Be famous. (Yeah, yeah, I know. It didn’t work for Cosby).

This really does have the flavor of the pre-Greylord days.
Not about politics. It looks more like someone with clout called in a personal favor.

This is one of those pieces that makes me believe that anyone can be a political cartoonist.
