The only thing I remember in tenth grade was being called into the principal’s office to give him AND the county deputy my testimony if I witnessed any foul play in my wood shop class between two classmates. I don’t even recall the incident for I was probably getting my project and couldn’t hear anything over the machinery.
10th grade? I once dreamed I was back in 1st! Seriously, I entered the school, sat at my desk, looked at the brick walls, and suddenly thought, “Hold on a moment, didn’t I already do this?”
My wife who was a straight A student still dreams of missing the bus and not being prepared for tests. She’s been having those dreams for almost 50 years now.
I retired a year ago from truck driving. I have dreams that I’ve got 30 minutes to get to a delivery site that’s 3 hours away. (These dreams supersede those school dreams that I used to have.)
I haven’t had a dream about school for several years now. I do have dreams about all the dogs I have had. I still miss them. Do not miss the school ones, though I did like school.
Every so often I dream about being back in college & flunking out because no one told me when & where final exams were going to be & I missed them all!
Look back through the past comics…if you name is Mike Goode from Canton NC you get your comic ideas published on a regular basis…must be a good friend or relative of Brookins.
Well, I see I’m not going crazy. For the last couple of years I’ve been dreaming about being back in college. (40 years ago) I really didn’t enjoy those years because all I wanted was to get finished and be on my own. Thinking back I’d have to confess, those days were much simpler.
So what’s the big deal? If this fella comes up with good ideas why shouldn’t they get published? Have you been sending in ideas and they haven’t even getting used?
