It was alleged in a book I read about Truman that during WWII, B-29 dive bombers had the wings falling off due to some problem. Truman as VP was appointed to approach Boeing about the problem. They acknowledged the problem but stated that the VP couldn’t make them correct it. So there is precedent.

As I said before Trump thinks planes with computers are too complex. I think he should fly the ones without computers.
