So the formerly youngest kid in the family gets to name the baby a very silly name?
Hard to believe that Linus gets to decide on a silly but memorable name
If Lucy (and Linus) had a sister, what would her name be? If Schultz kept the L theme amongst the Van Pelt siblings, would it be something like Linda?
So that’s how Rerun got his name – I’d forgotten.
Would be “Sequel” nowadays!
Linus, you can think whatever you want, mom will already know what name she wants to give to the baby and there is no way to beat her.

Lucy, get ready for some icky new chores when your mom has you changing, feeding and burping “Rerun” … Perhaps she’ll get sick of it and run away from home (we can only hope).

At least Rerun wasn’t as giant a mistake as Woodstock. Still a mistake, just not a giant mistake. The strip never needed either of them.
"Rerun"’s parents would not have been allowed to leave the hospital with him without a legal birth certificate, bearing his official given name.
