Funny! I know most of my family history, other than my Granny, who was orphaned while on a train with her mother and brother.
So my Ancestry DNA, at first, confirmed what I already knew, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, and France. After a while Norway popped up! I’m positive that’s Granny’s heritage, I just wish someone with matching DNA would show up.
A lot of people related to the people who took her in (basically as a farm slave according to her) think she’s related, so I’ve had to put a note on her page about why she’s not related to that family.
Many people in England can trace their families back to Scandinavia. The Vikings were busy there for a couple hundred years and England is not the only country so visited.
