Could be a low-lying area that has drainage problems. Every time it rains heavily, the surface water drains into it and it never gets a chance to dry out, hence the “mushy” description from Arlo.
When I was a little child my daddy planted 60 to 80 strawberry plants. When they were ready to pick mama sent me out to gather them. Well I ended up eating everyone of them all plants had at least 3 berries. Let’s just say I haven’t touched a strawberry since I can’t even smell one without felling nauseous.
I know some don’t like hearing about Gene and family. We know the strip is called Arlo and Janis. There are other strips with just one name, but other people are prominent in the strips and no one complains about that. I don’t understand the problem.
I saw the name Mary Lou and the first thing that comes to mind is “Mary Lou got a new pair shoes……” LOL I know I am weird and music is such a part of my life…As my hubby said is there a song you don’t have the 45 for ….NOPE

As to his “mushy field lines” comment, that IS a pure and simple ingredient. So they’re kinda on the same page with that.
