These young turks are a reaction to the extremes of the GOP and Dump et al. In a way, Dump has lit a fire under the Dems that the old ranks, like Nancy and Schuller, could not have. Now it’s up to the old guard to harness the power of these new turks and the movement they are a part of.
Strange to live in a time when being a moderate pro-American is considered wrong by both the Democratic and Republican parties. Whack-a-mole governing does not seem to be improving the US standard of living … maybe a compromising/collaborative Congress and an apolitical president and SCOTUS would work better for we the people?
I’m 72 and I love those 3 speaking truth to power. Pelosi, like Hillary is a rich, rich, rich white women and beholden only to the Wall Street masters who control her. Her corporate dem party is not the future of American democracy, as Varvel is not the future of anything remotely intelligent.
She’s very nearly as much an Old White Guy as any of the rest of the folks who’ve been there long enough to become the “leaders”. Give her credit: She’s been very effective at pushing her agenda. And give her a nice clean retirement, soon: Her agenda and age don’t match what the majority of non-right voters want.
Remember, Varvel, each one of those Congresswomen you disparage has a better education than you, are elected officials in Congress, and have a level of respect and admiration you will never come close to.
