Being from the mid west, I always have to remind the southerners that visit during the winter to not eat the yellow snow. Of course, I wouldn’t eat the grey or black snow either. For that matter, I would not eat any colored snow (even white) that is on the ground. Just don’t know where it came from.
I remember one joke for the book Pi——— In the Snow-Collection of Ozark Folk Jokes—-a man complains to his neighbor that the neighbor’s boy p—— in the snow in front of his house, the neighbor says so what, the man then complains the boy wrote his daughter’s name, the neighbor again just shrugs, the man then angrily yells Da—-it I know my daughter’s signature when I see it.

Only colored snow you can eat are snow cones.
