I want to know: why, on Andy Griffith, did ‘Gomer’ sing some beautiful songs in his real Jim Nabors voice, he did the same thing on his ‘Gomer Pyle’ show, but when he tells Andy he is joining the Marines he sings ‘From the Halls of Montezuma’ sounding just like his hick Gomer character? Did he forget how to sing?
