Finding happiness in unhappiness, joy in misery.

I always like the saying,“Little girls, like butterflies, need no reason to exist.”

They just provide pleasure as they enjoy their life, and we enjoy them vicariously.

If you want to see him in a REAL bad mood, just wait until he realizes what he just “stepped” in the last panel……..,

I worked with a guy who complained about just about everything. On the rare night everything went right, he complained about having nothing to complain about.

He was reading his Twitter feed again.

Schadenfreude normally works for such people, in the absence of any real joy.

I’m going to have a snit. I earned it. I deserve it and nobody is going to stop me.

I’ve been known to say to people, “Go away. I’m in a bad mood.” Sometimes I just want to enjoy my “funk” and get it over with. If they persist on trying to help me, I go “nuclear” … Rather than yelling at them and trying to bite their heads off I say, “Let me talk to you about Amway.”

It ain’t easy being grumpy.

I also worked with a guy who hated everything. So I asked if there was anything he liked…his response- “Chick Fil A has a good chicken sandwich…”

Coincidentally – Calvin and BC are on a common theme today.

A lot of people don’t get me. I am happy and smile in the face of adversity and they just don’t understand. Quite frankly it is not of this world, that kind of happiness.

Every once in a while every needs a good ‘grump’. It doesn’t mean we are sick or sad or anything like that. We just need to let the poisen out of our spirit so the happy can get a breath of fresh air. Sort of like emptying the toilets in a travel trailer.

Peter is being a real stick in the mud there.
