Had that twice with my son after a rant of his based on a minor conflict of opinions. On the one occassion, he wanted to go to some neighbors nearby. On the other, he took his younger sister with him and made a long walk through the fields to visit the grandparents living in a village some miles away. When I found them halfway, near a busy road, they were quite happy that I ended this adventure. My daughter had already lost her toy owl, and both were thirsty and a bit lost. They didn’t insist in going further without me intervening…
