Not a fan of Buttercup or any of his shenanigans, but see the problem of accepting all Cohen says without absolute proof it is true. When he offers ‘evidence’ for which he has no proof, and he admits to lying for his former boss, does that set a pattern of behavior that will discredit him in all other testimony? Same for any pol on the dais, i.e., what’s his/her real agenda?
Cohen has made a number of damning accusations according to what the media decided I should see. Much of it was personal opinion and little eye-witness accounting. I do hope he has the evidence to back up some of these claims.
The Republicans have not adapted a good plan of attack. They are using a Trump tactic: when you don’t have facts, attack the source: question their intelligence and call them names.Their personal opinion is that he is lying, but they have no proof of that either.
I forget which one of the D’s said that Cohen was attacked for lying to Congress to protect Trump and now he’s under attack for telling the truth about him.
The skeptic in me needs to be convinced by both sides. I’d rather have questions that are unanswered than answers that are unquestioned.
I was much more impressed by Cohen’s testimony and demeanor than I was by the Republican congressmen who questioned him. The started off with a political statement that included telling Cohen what a terrible person he was and then followed up with loaded questions. Then they tried to force Cohen to give them the answer they wanted, interspersed with more condemnation. They behaved like high school bullies.
Ironically, Cohen turned out to be one of Dump’s best witness for his denial of collusion with Russia. Cohen stated he had no knowledge of that matter. Repubs might want to throw out everything Cohen said, but that.

When it comes to corruption, the NCAA could give the Trump Administration a run for its money.

How did Cohen manage to fake that check with Trump’s signature on it?
