We had an apple tree in the back yard which dropped lots of little apples in the early summer. Every evening, I’d go out with a bamboo rake and use it like a lacrosse stick to throw them into the woods. Molly, my golden, would chase them and root around in the bushes to find them. Every time she did this, her tail would circle in happiness. That’s the only time she’d do that. When her sleeping feet started twitching and that tail went in circles, I KNEW what she was dreaming. Anyone who thinks dogs don’t dream isn’t paying attention.

“Daydream” normally implies you’re awake. I’m not sure animals daydream.
