    Even “sand” is now considered too dangerous up here. Playgrounds now have a rubber mat like substance poured to replace the sand.

    If the platform was level with the sand and not raised off it – it would have been something I would have liked as a kid. I was and am afraid of heights. Swings, slides, seesaws, monkey bars always scared the heck out of me.
