Said it before, I’ll say it again… There’s a song for Opal by the Notorious Cherry Bombs (Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, and members of Emmylou Harris’s backup band, the Hot Band) – “It’s Hard to Kiss the Lips at Night (that chew your *ss out all day long)” https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pjkLf_X88WM
Even Paul of Tarsus felt the way Earl did in the panel 3. He mused about doing the things he didn’t wish to do and not doing the things he wished he had done.
Had an ex like that once. If I wasn’t in any present predicament, one would be dredged up from days, months, even years ago. It was infuriating when I was confronted with a transgression I honestly had no memory of, but my ex really loved being infuriated.

I always assume anything I do will reach whoever I least want to know about it.
So far, so good.

I’m thinking the list the things I did and wish I didn’t and the list things I did and wish my wife didn’t find out about are exactly the same.
