I’ve made a fool of myself so many times in my life that it no longer bothers me.
On the other hand it is liberating: I no longer live in fear of making a fool of myself.
That is why when young people ask me, “Didn’t you do that when you were young?” I tell them yes and that is exactly why I am telling you not to do it.

Better to have been offered advice from someone who has done stupid stuff instead of from folks who’ve done nothing and are pretty sure they know it all. (Yep looking at you folks who don’t have kids but offer advice to those who do.)
Ah…the classic: “learn from my mistakes;” Good advice and should be heeded!
