So ridiculous to think that we could care for the environment, even if we wanted to. Not that it matters because we don’t. That would be un-American. /s
Seriously? Making fun of fantasies from someone who believes that tax cuts to billionaires and corporate welfare will PAY FOR THEMSELVES? Someone who believes (or at least tries to con others into believing) that if you give all the money to billionaires and ginormous corporations it will magically “trickle down” to everyone else? BRING ON THE UNICORNS!
The Green New Deal is NOT a bill. It is NOT a specific policy proposal — there are no operational details that would be required for actual legislation.
It is an ASPIRATIONAL STATEMENT OF LONG RANGE GOALS.
It is a NON-BINDING RESOLUTION. As such, because it is not a law, it requires neither the assent of the Senate or the President. You know, a resolution. Like a resolution to honor someone in a congressperson’s district, or to express good feelings about something.
Apparently, Kelley lives in Trump’s rump and uses what he finds there for the basis of his “cartoons”. He must find the predigested big macs and fries quite palatable.
Why is it unrealistic to recognize that climate change is real and try to do something to mitigate the effects? What’s unrealistic is imagining that we can continue business as usual without causing serious problems.
Ideas, change, and progress, are anathema to the anti-republic authoritarians currently infesting the Republican party that want to abandon government of the people, by the people, and for the people and return to an absolute ruler for an exclusive portion of the population only.
An excellent discussion of how a couple of degrees warming is an existential issue for us has just been published in the NYT. Too bad Kelley hasn’t the education to understand it.

Does Steve Kelley really not understand this?
Is that part of his belief in unicorns?
Or is he trying to be intentionally deceptive?

Yet billions for an unnecessary border wall after a massive tax cut for the wealthy is totally cool by you Steve? What a hypocrite.

It’s the Republican party that’s going to need a major makeover when president Humpty Trumpty falls off his Great Wall.

There is no need to change the other party’s symbol other than to change it’s colour to orange. It is usually the elephant in the room.

Yes. Progressives have abandoned reason. and refuse to believe that only tax cuts can raise revenue!

If god intended man to fly he would have given us wings.
Hitler’s army is master of all Europe. There’s no sense in fighting a war we can’t win.
That fool Kennedy says we’re going to fly to the moon in less than 10 years!
Damned cheeky rascals must know that Washington’s ridiculous little army stands no chance against the might of England.
I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!
Ain’t no woman ever gonna be a soldier.
Waste of time trying to cure smallpox – it’s always been with us and always will be.
Children are indispensable to most factories, and besides we can’t possibly afford to send them all to school…
Some men see things as they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not. • Robert Kennedy

Meanwhile in the real world what we are currently doing under the Republican grifters is going into debt at the rate of $2 Trillion a year
But But …. Whenever you cut taxes you increase revenue right????
um……. NO
If the repubs want to piss all over the Green New Deal lets, try it and see if it works. and by works I mean saving the planet.
We have already tried supply side Lafffer Curve nonsense and that IS NOT WORKING.

So Now we get to play Hot Potato with the White House.
The question is who will be in power when we have our first Drought induced famine. Or when Miami officially floods during sunny high tides

We all know that Republicans have all of our tax dollars must go to billionaires and huge corporations.
No money to be green and catch up with the rest of the world.
Crooked liar Trump is turning the USA into a third world dictatorship.

You’ll notice that the only two Trump Disciple comments are a bumper sticker, and a LIE.
