Not to worry.. the media will convince Congress they were not actually stolen from.. and that this trump move was actually a good idea they were behind all the way. Historians will look back to this period and wonder how it was that the US ceded its authority to talking media heads.
Building the wall was simply a talking point manufactured out of “whole cloth” by Stephen Miller for Donald Trump so he’d have an easy point of reference when appearing before his adoring crowds. It was never anything more than a metaphorical allusion to Donnie’s insipid bigotry and racism.
Unfortunately, the various idiots, imbeciles, cretins and morons to whom he appealed, seized upon the image it provided and made it their own.
The very concept of a “Wall”, stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, is, at the same time, ludicrous and deeply appealing to a segment of the American populace that feels increasingly isolated in their “whiteness” and increasingly angry in their “stupidity”!
These "people are not going away and they have proved uneducable in their wilful ignorance! More importantantly, their children and grandchildren are being infected with the same racial hatred and bigotry with which they are infected!
They will continue to exist, and fester, even AFTER we take back the Senate and the Presidency in 2020. We must start planning, now, for solutions to this growing and potentially dangerous situation. Ignorance breeds ignorance, and stupidity breed stupidity and the circle MUST be broken to save America from itself!
If this counts as a national emergency, then what would not count? Is the law a blank check? It’s hard to imagine that the Congress actually intended to give the president (of any party) a blank check.
Actually, the Constitution of course gives the power of the purse to intiate funding with the House, then the Senate follows. But that’s just the Constitution that Bonespurs works on burning every day.

Nice try, but those are 1000 apprehensions per day, not people getting in.
That number has been falling, from 1.4M in all of 2000. Under President Obama, it fell 35%, trump only brought it down 43%, a negligible decrease.
