We had a similar challenge when I was in 2nd grade. I remember the elatement I felt when I hit 100 and got my name on the chart with the other top achievers. Of course, Dr. Seuss books didn’t take that long to read…
I like to read the Last page first…and see how the author got there. If She/He can write I may enjoy the journey…If not… I may toss it…..Some favorites I have read many times over and each trip may be just so slightly different….
