Oppo research? What, were they afraid he might turn out to be a progressive and needed something to try to tank his campaign in order to protect their corporate donors?

I like the gist of this comic.

However, if you actually ask folks in the African-American community, many of them detest the racist things people do, but are still way more in favor of the policy pushed by occasionally racist liberals than that of endemically racist conservatives.

Many organizations that truly care about the products and services that they offer are consistently excellent, do a thorough vetting of their job candidates BEFORE they’re put in a position of responsibility. It’s a shame that our political parties with much more funding cannot do as thorough a job as other public and private organizations do. Do they not care?

If the American people didn’t get such vicarious pleasure watching violence (violent movies, tv shows, boxing and football) maybe there’d be less war. If the American people weren’t so susceptible to propaganda about brown people who talk funny and worship wrong maybe there’d be less war. If less Americans were willing to kill those brown people maybe there’d be less war. If American shareholders didn’t make so much money funding the killing of those people maybe there’d be less war. The term Department Of Defense is a misnomer, it should be changed back to War Department. This country has not had to defend itself against an existential threat since the War Of 1812.

“… and my friend Jeffrey Epstein used to get me all the young high school girls I could ever want. Luckily his lawyer Acosta is the new Secretary of Labor and the legal agreement says they can’t say a word…” Derpo looks a little like Robert Kraft…

I suspect your blame America firster mentality has blinded you (given all kinds of people besides Americans who also include brown people enjoy violence and warfare), but I will try anyway. the Japanese were able to launch a plane from a submarine and bomb Mt Emily in Oregon. Also had a plan to drop incendiary bombs throughout Northwest forests to cause fires. If they had successfully invaded Pearl Harbor, the Aleutians or Mexico (there were plans to do that Patton thought they were going to for instance) they could have launched an invasion of the west coast. There were blackouts in SF and LA to prevent bombings The Panama canal was also a target of the Japanese. Also if they had won at midway and destroyed the pacific fleet, they could have gotten to the West coast as well. On the more speculative side: If the Nazis had been able to successfully invade Britain, they would have been able to invade the East coast. Things turned out otherwise but at the time the Axis did represent an “existential threat” to the USA.

Most people do not want war or to kill. So it has to be impressed and most will break down and do it. But a small few will not.

Great ‘toon, Ted. The obsession with the non-existent threat of “white supremacy” distracts all of us from society’s real issues and realistic solutions. But that’s how Democrats want it.
