The other day NPR was interviewing kids about college entrance. One was going on and on about how much he loved to learn. Finally he confided that his ‘learning’ was all from YouTube videos. “To the MOON, Alice, to the moon!”

Genuinely stupid people are actually pretty rare. The problem is that so many people are too lazy to think.

The moon landing was just a Hollywood movie. NASA agreed to cooperate, but insisted it be shot on location.

Short people got no reason to leave? New men needed! Ta

No problem, I’ll be fine, I have a reservation on the Ark Fleet Ship B.

Sadly the dumb/stupid people won’t be seeing the flag Armstrong and Aldrin planted. It’s gone. The super-thin mylar has been eroded by the solar wind for so long there’s nothing left.

This might actually be a good idea.

Cartoon-Boy’s ingenious solution the the Dumb People Problem won’t work unless there is a huge fleet of really big transport rockets. But letting the dumb over-populate the Moon is better than keeping them here among the Smart People like Rat and Pig…. (Snicker!)

Giant steps are what you take when you are walking on the moon.

It matters what books you read.

Just make sure you don’t get rid of all the telephone sanitizers.

Instead of expensive Moon rockets, the ‘shelters’ should be immense underground complexes where people would be confined to individual rooms and only get food based on academic achievement. So, pass a 3rd grade math test, get a carrot, etc., with increasing levels. When you can pass a decently rigorous high school level final exam, you get to come back up and rejoin society.

Even the books are running away.

There is a science fiction story where the smart people are underground working like crazy and the dumb people are on top doing nothing but eating and procreating. Then there’s the movie The Time Machine…and many of the present welfare recipients….
