Nate’s right. Before this week when Nate was focused on his hair, I would imagine very few of us were obsessing about it. if he continued to stress over it he could always go the ‘Ron Howard’ route and wear a ball cap everywhere, better to accept it and move on.
The North American porcupine has a strong odor to warn away predators, which it can increase when agitated. The smell has been described as similar to strong human body odor, goats, or some cheeses.
