Now if failure to compromise and obstruction were treated as treasonable actions by political parties against a government of the people, by the people, and for the people? Wouldn’t a company dismiss individuals that failed to compromise and obstructed progress? We need to incentivize functional government, not partisanship and dysfunctional government as we are currently doing.
Sometimes I wonder if politicians like Trump think they’re wizards. They say the special words, wave their hands and expect all their troubles to go away.
I’m betting the current occupant is not able to name 10 Presidents who served before he was born. No fair for him to check his pockets to get the names off of coins or bills. LOL!
Snap polling has 76% of independents with approval or strong approval of his speech.
The independents, those who are not wedded to specific party ideology, want to see progress and compromise. At this point Trump has made several attempts at compromise. The Dems have rejected them.
Nancy and Chuck need to be very wary of refusing to deal or offering an insult ($1) again. Perception is reality for most people, and if the center perceives obstructionism on the part of Dems 2020 is not going to be pretty for them.
There IS no “Second one”. (Was it during the Reagan administration that Democrats “compromising with the president” was redefined as “accepting his agenda”?)

It isn’t fair to mock Trump for the bilgewater blather of his “State of Something Or Other Address”: he didn’t write it. Stephen Miller did!

Nah, S.M. only wrote the middle. Someone else cribbed the bookends.
