To be fair Calvin, you DO break EVERYTHING.

Reminds me of in the movie FARGO when Harve Presnell said to William H. Macy “I don’t want you mucking things up,” then proceeded to muck things up himself!

Isn’t Calvin’s dad a patent attorney? Maybe he could replace the broken part with a better quality part.

Now Calvin will have to wait another six weeks for the replacement part to arrive.

It’s Monday, shouldn’t Calvin be in school?

I knew that if it required assembly, Calvin would foul it up.

Looking at the drawing, I can only imagine the motor fits inside the beanie. Putting an electric motor in close proximity to a kid’s hair is someone just begging for a lawsuit.

Thank goodness Hobbes is around to act as Calvin’s scapegoat! ♥

This was me this past weekend, following the cheerful, inadequate directions to install a replacement battery in my tablet.

Anybody want to buy a dead tablet?

If he does manage to assemble and power it, what will happen when he takes it to school? Will Susie be impressed? Will Miss Wormwood take it away? Will Moe destroy it?

I have to admit, that “snap” hurt me too. I’ve looked forward to the arrival of this beanie right along with Calvin. :-(

Life lessons abound.

Remember, all the commutator windings go the same direction, no exceptions, and if wound the wrong direction the beanie will fly away. (Let’s not even talk about AC motors, unless your cat has invented an AC battery [long sought by Nikola Tesla].)

Well, so much for Calvin’s first solo flight.

Just as well. If Calvin had managed to assemble it he probably would have put the batteries in backwards and screwed himself into the ground!
