    I tried that. Somehow they disappeared little by little. By the time summer rolled around they were about the size of an ice cube. Disappointing. I suppose a frost free, means snow free as well.

    Snow balls will shrink in the freezer, due to evaporation, unless you wrap each on in plastic. Experience talking here.
