    I thought that the Brits were a bit better at maths than this; surely they can realize that they are sadly outnumbered, that the EU is simply sticking to their guns, even if the House of Commons sees any deal as a raw deal.

    Surprise! not only does UNITY have a certain price tag, but DISUNITY does as well – just ask any divorced person….

    I think the Brits would be best served to see what crumbs fall from the EU table that are better than a default exit, and use this as a starting point after the cutoff date (if that “final” date doesn’t get pushed back a bit due to internal EU elections).

    The plug on the left is peculiar to the UK, I think, while the receptacle on the left is a standard configuration in the rest of Europe.
