This is the best presentation of a serious problem that I’ve ever seen! Plus it’s a darn good crossover!

Where’s Satchel? Hope he wasn’t deported back to Canada. Cape Breton is cold this time of year….especially for a Shar Pei !

We in India have had no daily comics in newspapers for some time. We used to have a few on Sunday, which I don’t see nowadays wither! The city (metro) editions still have sporadic pages, here and there. I used to be in charge of procuring comic and puzzle features for the paper I worked at till 2013. I believe they too have discontinued most of it. (I don’t know for sure because I prefer a *news*paper nowadays!)

My daughter and her family got all their news off the Internet. Two years ago I was packing Christmas Gifts to ship to them and grabbed a handful of newspapers out of the recycle bin for stuffing. The handful included several comic pages, including Sunday Comic sections. My granddaughters went nuts over the comics and ignored all the gifts until they read all the comics. Poor kids did not even know such things existed. Now I have to save up all the comic pages from my newspaper, stuff them in a USPS Priority Mailer and and them a months worth every month.

I see my Met Life agent. Was he in the neighbors’ trash cans again? Shame!

This made my Sunday. Pearls Before Swine is my favorite comic strip.

My local went the route of a “newszine.” Shrunk the pages to half sheet, folded over and three day old content, presented with a most blatant one sided slant. Of course the price also increased to $1.25 per day, $3.75 Sunday’s.I now pay for GoComics have more and better comics and get to read all kinds of amusing comments!

I sat on my dad’s lap while he read the Sunday funnies; he used different voices and purposely mis-pronounced words. Too bad if kids are missing out today.

Great tribute to Charles M. Schulz and Peanuts in this comic. Thanks.
