I think I just figured out where shippers got it in their heads that everything needs to be paired up with everything else, regardless of literally any factor.

What’s your Valentine to Max gonna say, Phoebe?

that is pretty much how grad school Valentines day really goes. Obligated every one gets a card attitude. Also most kids just see the day as a chance to get candy or stickers. They don’t expect to get in a relationship. I have noticed some cards these days, they put cartoon characters on them. But the cards always have odd choices with what cartoon characters get picked to be on the cards. They often neglect my favorites and focus on popular characters or festively colored characters.

With that kind of honesty, Phoebe, everybody is sure to love you! :P

You have to admire Phoebe’s honesty. Wonder if Max gets a separate card.

Never really thought about it that much as a kid (probably because I all knew it was merely in good fun and I was typically on good terms with all the kids in my class), but looking back, she’s precisely right.

Better give the kids mass-produced and generic Valentines, Phoebe, lest you risk a massacre…….

I would’ve totally appreciated this as a kid.

Of course, I also would’ve been inclined to give it.
