Well, other than the take on the nation’s weather this year (as noted by the other comments), I’d say not one of Parker and Hart’s best efforts – at least, not for me. Oh well, the occasional dud is definitely forgivable, huh? Still a big fan, and I’ll be back to read the next one – and all the rest as well. :-)
PS maybe I didn’t appreciate the poke at the weather ‘cause it’s been more or less typically temperate out here in La La Land – certainly not the extremes the rest of the country has had to endure this year. You all have my deepest sympathies…

Punxsutawney Phil’s predictions are right only 39% of the time. Change the rules so that seeing his shadow means a shortened Winter, and his accuracy goes up to 61%. We shouldn’t be surprised that the news media doesn’t report it the way the facts actually work out. It might increase the expectations of the consumer of news for accuracy in other areas.
