I’ve always viewed it as Partyfirsters vs Other-Partyfirsters — with both against America-first-ers — since Gingrich declared war on compromise and cooperation and the progressives went into hiding when Reagan won.
If the Dems let Trump have his way just to get the government re-opened, then when Trump wants something else, he will just call for another shutdown. Putin wants Trumps to eliminate sanctions against Russia – wonder if Lisa thinks that’s a good reason to shutdown the government.
