Not sure I get this. Isn’t football dying out?

Spoiler alert! Today’s cartoon is not about politics.

I’m a long time liberal and yet, and yet. . .I love football! So sue me.

This is a great ’toon! And so accurate; that play was obvious to everyone in the entire world, ’cept that idiot … Grrrrr

Interestingly, while there was a time (and there were sports) where a referee’s arguable call (or non-call) would’ve prompted accusations of a payoff or the fix being in, nobody (so far) has suggested that that might’ve been the case here.

So an upper middle class guy missed calling a multi-millionaire on a mistake he made that harmed no one in any real way and I should be upset why?

Well, since I get my news from Gocomics, I’m all caught up.

I have to admit, seeing a donkey on this site, I thought it had to do with politics, also. I don’t know why… :-)

Steve Benson, unfortunately, got laid off from the Arizona Republic today.

^I was just about to post the same thing. Somewhere along the line, something has got to be done to support the creative people like Steve Benson and all the others who have been dumped by the bean counters. We are all the poorer for losing their talents. Maybe, just maybe, we the audience have got to realize that we need to pay for the things we get from them. I would like to know if Gocomics really contributes to the support of people like Clay Jones, Rob Rogers, Nick Anderson and now Steve Benson. If not (or if not significantly) then maybe we all should consider becoming patrons of those we want to see working.

For those that are disinterested in sports, please keep in mind that there are just as many people disinterested in the things that you find to be important. A fine society we will soon have if we only care about our own personal interests. If a thing is important to my sisters and brothers then it merits my attention and attempted understanding.

Probably just about as many people upset over having a bogus Superbowl as the bogus election of ‘16. United we stand, divide we’re pawns.

Benson has become the victim of “modern journalism by corporate fiat”, he who makes us think, or casts truth on tyrants, shall be cast off themselves. Gannet sucks, as does Sinclair broadcasting, and of course faux…

So very sorry your fine talent was laid off. Hope another opportunity pops up.

Looks like Steve didn’t get the White House memo:“I take full responsibility for the shutdown”, signed: “D.J. Trump”. Instead, Steve wants the “Donkey” to take the blame.

Love how the conservatives never accept responsibility for anything! It’salways The other guys fault!

Wait, so it was Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats that inflated Brady’s football, thus allowing his team to win? Who knew?
