My cats swear by “Cosmic Catnip”. NEVER buy supermarket catnip. I store their catnip mice in a humidor with catnip to “recharge”.
I had one cat who was so sociable that I threw catnip parties for her and her friends on my patio. Six or seven cats would show up. They were very like humans – some ate it, some snorted it, some rolled in it. There was even one cat who sat in the corner and criticized the others for using it.

Must be hurting, to settle for the pet store catnip…. Much fresher & more potent catnip can be found at health food supermarkets!
