I can’t find a link, but I remember an old USENET comment about how “computers aren’t magic – there are perfectly valid scientific explanations why you must sometimes sacrifice a goat to your SCSI bus”.
If this one doesn’t work out, try again. There are about six more “sacrifices” in the room… maybe more. :)
