I have to admire Ms. May. She has stuck to the Brexit program because that’s what people voted for (however stupidly) and she has diligently attempted to carry out the democratic vote that the British people made (however ill-informed and purblind it was). To not do so would have been to flout and dishonor democratic principles. That said, it’s pretty clear that it’s time for a do-over, now that people hopefully are a little better educated about the consequences of listening to demagoguery.
It’s a true conundrum: A true leader would do what is right not just follow the herd. This what happens when an issue that should never have been raised is put out for a vote, a substantial number of whom had no idea of what they were voting on, or the ramifications of an exit vote.

We, too, are entitled to change our minds.

May survived the vote of confidence, but Corbyn is demanding that a no-deal Brexit be off the table in future negotiations with the Tories.

I have gained respect for Mrs. May’s perseverance.
