If it were me, I’d do Miguel de Cervantes’ “Don Quixote de la Mancha”; it’s probably much shorter than “War and Peace.”

At that rate it will take you 55 years. (guessing)

Reading one book every 55 years puts him ahead of some people.

Leo Tolstoy is a good writer and author. You need to finish the book.

Great series, this, folks. Funny, but also very dramatic!

Charlie Brown had to read both that one and Crime And Punishment.

Great story arc coming. BTW, W&P has 587,287 words. Divided by 365, it would take 1,609 years and a couple days, not accounting for leap years. Good luck Snoop.

You knew, of course, that somebody was going to check if that was really the first word of War and Peace.

Close enough, although in the English translation I have, the character says it in French. “Eh bien”…

I got an ereader that had 100 classics on it. I decided to read Anna Karenina. It took 3 months off and on and the ending sucked. It was basically a bad soap opera script.

I don’t believe it: the English translation translate the French part too? Directly in the main text, not in a note?!?

1 word down. 587,286 words to go.

I don’t think ol’ Snoop will complete it

There a number of super-low estimates here. How short are we assuming WAR AND PEACE is?

War and Peace is a little too long for you. You don’t have thousands of years left. Try something shorter, say by Helen Sweetstory.

Snoopy, you’ll be better off with the Classic Comics “War and Peace.” That will leave you time to move on to “The Cat in the Hat” as well as “The Six Bunnie Wunnies and the Female Veterinarian.”

You should see the “Pawpet Theater” production. Really captured the nuances of the book!

The book he is holding can not be War and Peace. It is not big enough. You should have drawn it bigger, making it harder for him to hold.

Better stick to “Dick and Jane”. You might live long enough to finish it!
