Love a good growth spurt!

Poor Linus

Maybe the sandwiches are getting smaller?

It’s the growth spurt effect

I f he eats too much he’ll outgrow his clothes.

Have a glass of water, Linus, you’re probably dehydrated.

Next he’ll outgrow his belt.

There was a point in my life when I could eat 6 meals a day and still lose weight. That was nearly 60 years ago.

I think peanut butter sandwiches are banned in certain schools now, because of peanut allergies in other students and staff.

No Cheetos?

If Linus’s mom had packed him one of those wonderful large black-and-white cookies from the bakery he would have a big smile on his face and would’t still be hungry.

Sounds like a healthy lunch (assuming white bread was used); why not throw in a package of Twinkies?

He had 2 desserts? (Apple and cookies)

What does that mean

Outgrowing your lunch is better than what you experience later in life when eating that same lunch makes you outgrow your pants.

Relax, Linus, it’s just the blood sugar crash. Now, ask Mom to make you lunches of tuna sandwiches on whole grain bread, celery sticks, string cheese and a cookie. You’ll feel much better.

Growth means growing demands, especially during growth spurts and more especially during sudden growth runs and dashes.

I’m definitely on the downward part of that growth/lunch curve.
