On May 1, 1980, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) was shut down for one day after Congress failed to pass an appropriations bill for the agency. It occurred just days after the issuance of Civiletti’s opinion on April 25. This was the first time a federal agency shut down due to a budget dispute.

This just in approximately 20 minutes ago. It seems the FBI started an investigation into whether Tiny the Traitor was working for Russia and when Mueller was put in as Special Counsel he inherited that investigation. Apparently there was enough to make the FBI worry that he was indeed a Manchurian Candidate. We’ll have to see where this goes next.
