A person who had almost THREE MILLION fewer votes cannot honestly say that they were ELECTED. (Of course, being honest was never lyin’ Trump’s strong suit.)

By cheating, scamming, use of STOLEN proprietary data from the DNC via Russia (yes, there was collusion [CONspiracy] — literally a digital Watergate break-in of the DNC except that it was outsourced to a hostile foreign adversary along with the Mercer/Bannon Cambridge Analytica scam to collude with Facebook to steal private social media data they could manipulate), Trump successfully but fraudulently navigated the presidential selection process to rig an election.

And now, federal workers are working without pay (will likely be reimbursed later, after they have been evicted or foreclosed or repossessed).

Federal contractors have simply lost money and will never be reimbursed.

And Trump the spoiled brat liar who has NEVER in his spoiled child life ever had to worry about making the next rent or house payment or car payment or buying groceries says he can“relate” to unpaid workers, says they will adjust (he has no concept of what it means to miss a paycheck) and says most of the unpaid federal workers support him (70% say they don’t and tearfully cry about how their lives will be upended).

Waiting for the conservative cranks to come in and angrily declare that this cartoon depicts a scene that never actually happened in this exact way, possibly followed by the threat that if we keep it up, it will be all our fault that they chose to be conservative cranks.

Now that Trump told the nation he has zero new ideas and he’s all out of tricks—what’s next?

Never negotiate with terrorists about hostages; they’ll just do it again if we give in to their demands, pay their ransom.

They should treat him like all other terrorists. No dealing, just send in a SEAL team. Adm. William McRaven would probably even come out of retirement to lead it.

Excerpts from the 2008 Democrat Party Platform

We cannot continue to allow people to enter the United States undetected, undocumented, and unchecked. The American people are a welcoming and generous people, but those who enter our country’s borders illegally, and those who employ them, disrespect the rule of the law. We need to secure our borders, and support additional personnel, infrastructure, and technology on the border and at our ports of entry. We need additional Customs and Border Protection agents equipped with better technology and real-time intelligence.

We realize that employers need a method to verify whether their employees are legally eligible to work in the United States, and we will ensure that our system is accurate, fair to legal workers, safeguards people’s privacy, and cannot be used to discriminate against workers.

For the millions living here illegally but otherwise playing by the rules, we must require them to come out of the shadows and get right with the law. We support a system that requires undocumented immigrants who are in good standing to pay a fine, pay taxes, learn English, and go to the back of the line for the opportunity to become citizens. They are our neighbors, and we can help them become full tax-paying, law-abiding, productive members of society.

Definition: Infrastructure; The basic physical and organizational structures and facilities (e.g. buildings, roads, power supplies) needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.

In this case the “enterprise” is border security and the infrastructure is a physical barrier. Similar to what the Dems proposed and/or voted for several times since 2006.

Simple-minded people (like Trump and Trump voters) are able to grasp the concept of a wall, but not able to grasp the concept of ladders. The longer the shutdown lasts, the more damage to the economy as a whole, for the simple reason that fewer goods and services will be purchased. When the dominos start falling, even the party-before-country Republicans in the Senate will realize their own political futures are at stake—it’s best not to anger millions upon millions of people. And it’s a helluva lot harder to gerrymander a Senate seat than a House seat.
