My sis (a VA nurse) still shudders when she thinks of the shutdown in the mid-90s. Between her loss of income & the massive medical bills due to my already-disabled BIL’s just having come through a life-threatening illness & months of rehab, they ended up having to declare bankruptcy the following year.
If he’s so determined to build that creepy wall why doesn’t he just write a check for it? He keeps telling us he’s this zillionaire successful businessman. He’d please his constituency and make an end run around the Democrats.
Just do what Trump does, with your high paid lawyer negotiate your bills, stop paying anyone you owe and eventually you can pay them off for pennies on the dollar and if they object you sue them, simple.
