Trump owns the shutdown. And Trump will pay the political price.
Trump said he would be “proud” to shut down the government.
Trump said he would not blame the Democrats.
Trump said (before becoming president) that shutdowns are always the fault of the president.
Trump’s party control the presidency, House and Senate.
They even had a deal. Senate passed it unanimously. Trump had even agreed to the deal. But then, boo hoo, wacko extremist right-wing rabble rousers (Limbaugh, Ingraham, Coulter, Fox & friends) scolded him and he gave in like a little baby and Paul Ryan surrendered his supposedly separate and co-equal House (along with whatever is left of his balls) to the Trump tantrum. We now have a presidency run by talk show idiots.
More Republicans in the impoverished red states that their party has bankrupted are on the SNAP “food stamps” (nowadays EBT cards) and TANF support that will soon stop getting paid.
More Republican midwestern farmers will soon start losing farm subsidies in red states.
More Republican ranchers near the border fear that Trump eminent domain will seize their properties to build a wall that will block their access to the Rio Grande (wait until you see REPUBLICAN conservative ranchers in a riot that makes the Bundy standoff look like a picnic).
Trump owns this shutdown and it will be what causes REPUBLICANS to turn on him.
It doesn’t stop at $5 billion and the wall isn’t a bargaining chip. If I tell you to give me a thousand dollars or I’ll smash your fingers, that’s not bargaining, it’s a threat. You keep the government running and push for what you want. If the majority doesn’t believe or go along, you drop it! Trying to run a government with threats gets you Hungary, or Egypt or China, not the United States of America.
Here’s the thing, J’Locke. Look at your House of Representatives. On one side you have tired, old, Fundamentalist, white men. And on the other side, you have America. The diversity of red, yellow, black, white, brown, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Atheist, Buddhist, young, middle aged, old, gay, straight, men, women, trans, capitalist, socialist, moderate. So now it’s time for you to make a choice: yesterday or tomorrow. The culture war is over; you’ve lost the fight. Join the future or get swept into the dustbin of history.
I would suggest the government workers strike until government reopens and their cost of living pay increase is restored. If the wall had support, the Republicans would have passed it during the first two years.

The Republican senate and the republican president have shut down the country.
Notice the shut down occurred as soon as the Dems took the House, this is a subversion of democracy by a would be Republican dictator.
And tonight the fat crooked orange liar will justify why he wants martial law when there is no real problem in reality.
Vicious liar Trump needs to be removed from office.

Jlocke is acting self-righteous again. It shows his lack of compassion.

Just chalk it up to ignorance and paranoia.
It takes a special kind to stay ignorant in the Information Age.
