I guess, the billionaires never do that job… they are too important to be absent from their business and need to micro-manage the whole 20,000 staff alone.
Isn’t it comforting to know that if you ever find yourself in trouble with The Law, your fate will be decided by twelve people who couldn’t figure out a way to get out of jury duty?
I owned a business, until I sold it a couple of years ago, and in the last twenty years I have been called for Jury Duty, once every two years. I have never made an excuse not to serve and just like serving my country when I got drafted, (I actually enlisted for 4 years rather than go in drafted), I have always done my duty. If I should complain when this country get taken over by whoever because of citizens not willing to do their duty, at least I will have the right to complain. Jury Duty is a honor and privilege, plus a sacred duty. Anyone not willing to serve have no right to call themselves an American.
Maybe he’ll get lucky like me, and the circumstances of the case change that the call to jury duty is canceled and you don’t need to come in anymore. That’s what happened the one and thus far only time I’ve been called in for jury duty.
Which worked out for me, because as it happened, I was already scheduled to be out of the country for the date they were calling me in for, and legitimately couldn’t make it.
Otherwise I would’ve been happy enough to do so. But that’s me.

Sat on jury duty a few times, even federal case. I’d rather not be bothered with it anymore. More of a nuisance than anything else.
