As if you could make a decent sized pirate hat from a modern comics section.

Love this strip. I’ve always enjoy the comics pages, best part of the “paper.”

Part of the reason I’m here on this site is because the comics page in a newspaper was always my favorite thing to read. Just because the medium changed doesn’t mean the joy of reading the comics page has gone away.

I tried making a pirate hat out of my GoComics page, but the iPad won’t fold properly.

The Sunday comics also made good textbook covers. Of course, we used brown paper grocery bags when we wanted to draw our own designs.

This reminds me of the printers’ hats that the pressmen used to make and wear. And sure enough, YouTube has an illustration of how to make them.
