    “a nangle worm” is so close to “an angle worm”, it’d be easy to mistake the former for the latter. Shows she was really wanting to trip up good old Charlie Brown, listening that closely.

    In reality, that’s a local colloquialism here. “an egg” is “a negg”. “an octopus” is “a noctopus”. “an apple” is “a napple”. We just don’t seen to have any use for the word “an”.
