It reminds me when around Christmas time, I’d put on the record of the Singing Dogs, who barked “Jingle Bells” and our schnauzer would come into my bedroom looking confused.
we got our first TV – black and white – when I was 7 or 8. Sometimes I would get up before everyone else and turn it on to see what was showing and eat my cereal watching the black and white test pattern that was on before the actual first broadcast of the day. there were strips going up and down in various shades of black and white. I usually would go outside and play if nothing had come on by the time I finished my cereal. interesting (to me) memories.
It’s interesting and funny how we used to look at the radio while we listened to it. Today’s Peanuts Begins takes me right back to my childhood days and to Martin Block’s “Make Believe Ballroom” which I listened to—and watched—while my mom prepared dinner.

Welcome to the 1930’s, Snoop. That was state of the art entertainment then.

I enjoy saving these early strips that show the technology of the day.

It gets worse. In 50 years or more, young people will all go mute and no longer be able to talk on the phone but can only communicate via text.
