Every musician hears that when they decide upon a musical career: what do they intend to do for a living?

Ask Liberace, Bob Ralston, Billy Joel, they seem to have done alright!

I guess Charlie Brown thinks a barber will make more than Billy Joel.

How about severely underemployed?

I’m sure it will be something he will have to look “Bach” on. Heh, heh!

“I’m going to be a concert pianist!”

“A what?”

“Pianist! PIANIST!”

“Mmmmm-WAH! G’night, everybody!” ;D

So what are you going to be, Charlie Brown? A cartoonist? A barber?

I’d read that Schulz voiced a lot of his own artistic frustrations through Schroeder, which I can see here.

I’m waiting for one of the smart people to translate

Rare to see the piano set up with Schroeder to the right of it rather than the left.

If you practice the piano eight hours a day for years, one day you will play at Nordstrom.

He should start his career now – there are lots of adults who can play those pieces, not so many children.

He’ll be rich if he starts now.
